Day 22 - Milk River, AB to Cardston, AB

Our route today took us over 68 miles and Ride With GPS (RWGPS) said it was 30% unpaved. But, RWGPS was wrong and it was all paved. John drove the truck and Rolf, Greg, & Mark pedaled their way to the end.

The day was beautiful and we passed more ranches and some cropland. A beautiful day of riding.

As we got to Cardston, the sky was becoming more cloudy and just as predicted, the rain began at about 5:30 pm. We decided to go to a pizza place for supper and it was just raining lightly as we finished our meal. We drove over to the A&W for root beer floats (all except John) and while there the rain came down hard! Once the rain let up a bit we went back to our campground and quickly crawled into our tents – it as about 7:30 pm. The storm lasted most of the night with fierce winds and lots of rain. We kept dry for the most part and were able to get up and get going in the morning with calm winds and no rain.
