Day 27 – Cranbrook, BC to Creston, BC

Our 66.5-mile route today was all on pavement along Canada Highway 3. And it was mostly downhill. Greg handled the truck and John, Rolf, & Mark cycled. This was a day to get through. We left in the rain and it rained, misted, or drizzled the entire day.

Our plan was to camp in Creston, but with the rain and cold, Greg found us a Ramada Inn for the night.

The magnificent mountains we knew were there were nowhere to be seen, covered in clouds. The traffic (Labour Day Monday) was steady. We, for the most part, had adequate shoulders to ride on, keeping us safe.

Rolf & Mark stopped at Steve’s Two Scoop for a sandwich and a cup of soup in the rain.

The hotel was welcomed by all of us and we went out to eat at a nice Creston restaurant.
